Business Writing for Non-Native Speakers of English
Writing in a second language can be challenging. Discover ways to improve your written workplace communication. Through active practice and feedback from instructor, learn to write in a clear, concise manner, conveying the appropriate tone. Come away with useful business vocabulary, organizing templates, and ways to address writing issues commonly encountered by non-native speakers of English. Recommended: intermediate to advanced English level. Required: 3 short, non-confidential writing samples. Information on accessing online course:

Diana Phelps-Soysal has been an educator since 1991 and has taught at universities and high schools both in the US and abroad. She has a master’s degree in teaching English as a second language from Eastern Michigan University and a certificate in technical communication from the University of Washington. Currently, she volunteers on the board of the Society for Technical Communication, and she works as an instructional designer / technical writer for companies such as Microsoft.
