Search Engine Optimization  

If you build it, will they come? This class will outline what you can do to help people find your website. Discover the steps you can take to increase your chances of being in the top of the search engine results. Look at the differences in how search engines index websites. Create effective keyword lists and site descriptions, set-up a proper site structure and the importance of linking. Analyze websites to see how they have placed themselves in the top 10 of search engine results. Develop a strategy for improving your website to work better with the search engines.

Bring a USB flash drive (minimum 2 GB) to class.

Prerequisites: Design Principles and HTML and CSS: Level 1 or equivalent knowledge.
