Writing for the Non-Profit Sector

Professionals in the non-profit sector need diverse skills in order to meet the marketing, fundraising and promotional needs of their organization. Through a hands-on, interactive approach, learn how to write and design newsletters, website content, capital or annual campaign mailers, and promotional publications that will cultivate interest, as well as personalized communications that will build relationships with your donors.

Carly Daines has held positions as a writer and communications specialist for several major non-profit organizations, including NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, The New York Foundling, and Columbia University. In addition to writing and designing newsletters, press releases, promotional materials, brochures, campaign mailers and websites, she writes grant proposals and manages capital campaigns. She recently moved to the Seattle area, and continues to do freelance writing for several New York-based non-profit organizations.
