Coaching Skills for Leaders  

A key competency for managers is the ability to coach others. Learn and practice the leadership skills essential in helping others realize their full potential. Through presentation, discussion, and group activities this course addresses the following topics: coaching and performance management; what it takes to be a good coach; effective communication; and coaching competencies. Course approved for 5.5 hours toward PHR/SPHR re-certification.

Warren E. Cohen has been an Internal and External Organizational Development, Training and Management Consultant for over 20 years. He has worked in the private and public sector, in profit and non-profit settings providing services in: Leadership, Performance Coaching, Process Improvement, Team Development, Strategic Planning, Talent Management, Change Management, Surveys and Assessments, Process Consulting, Supervision/Management, Program Design, Coordination and Instruction, Project Management, Employee Relations and Group Facilitation.

Warren has his Masters Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, concentrating in Individual and Group Behavior in Organizations and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification through the Society for Human Resource Management and is a Certified Performance Technologist (through the International Society for Performance Improvement). He is a national and local chapter member of ASTD, the OD Network, and SHRM. Warren has also taught courses for the University of Phoenix in Washington State, Washtenaw Community College in Michigan and has presented at conferences throughout the United States.
