Professional Editing II  

Being an effective editor requires more than language skills—it demands sound editorial judgment. Learn how to think like an editor, choose the appropriate level of edit, make style decisions, collaborate with writers, manage workflow, and make tradeoffs to meet deadlines. Required texts: The Copyeditor's Handbook by Amy Einsohn and Technical Editing, 4th ed., by Carolyn Rude. Prerequisite: Editing I, or equivalent experience.
