Managing Communication Styles  

Communication style differences shape our perceptions, affect our ability to listen accurately, and often cause misunderstandings that impact leadership and team performance. Enhance your communications skills to improve teamwork and morale using the I-Speak program and gender-specific tips developed by linguistics expert Deborah Tannen. Assess your communication style and tendencies. Learn how to recognize and adapt to others’ styles to improve understanding and strengthen relationships. Come away with exercises, tools and tips to apply at work the next day. Materials included. Required materials: I Speak Your Language text and questionnaire, which are both available at the N. Campus bookstore.
