This class focuses on optimizing graphics for effective and efficient presentation on a website. Optimization techniques include selecting appropriate file formats, file sizes, and colors. You will apply the principles of effective site design using Photoshop’s web graphic tools for implementing layers and slices. The class will also discuss issues related to procuring and using existing illustrations and photographs. Bring a USB flash drive (minimum 2 GB) to class.
Prerequisites: Photoshop: Level 1 or experience with a professional level computer graphics program such as Illustrator or Photoshop.
