WordPress: Level 1  

WordPress is a free and open source online application used by professional designers to create websites. Though it is commonly used to write and publish blogs, it is also used to design traditional looking websites. Topics include: wordpress.com, wordpress.org, blogs, traditional sites, templates, themes, plugins, widgets and WordPress as a Content Management System (CMS). Web Design Certificate elective. Bring a USB flash drive (minimum 2 GB) to class.

Prerequisite: HTML: Level 2 or equivalent knowledge. Students need a working web-based email account, a working WordPress.com account, and an active free account at Cloud 9 Web IDE http://c9.io.
