TELOS - Chansi Qigong Movements

The Chansi Gong set is one of many types of Chinese energy practices called Qigong (pronouned "Chee-gong") which are groups of movements that are practiced in repetition for specific purposes. Qigong is practiced to promote health, strength, longevity and relaxation and has been enjoyed in China for over 1000 years. The movements are powerful yet low impact. In recent years these arts have been enjoying a more rapid spead into the Western world and TELOS has offered one type, the Hunyuan Gong set, for several years. We are happy to announce the addition of this set - Chansi Gong - which focuses on spiraling energy and is more physically challenging then the Hunyuan Gong set. This method specifically develops a spiral movement connecting the entire body and targets all the muscles and nourishes all the organs of the body. With the Chansi Gong set we start with the neck and work our way down the body, enjoying an overall workout which tones and strengthens the body while relaxing the heart and mind. This is appropriate for beginners to Qigong as well as experienced practitioners of either Qigong or Tai Chi Chuan, and can be adapted to all ages and levels of fitness. The instructor, Joseph K.H. Pau began his study of these arts in 1993.
