TELOS - The Films of Billy Wilder   

Billy Wilder (1906-2002) arrived in America from Austria in 1934 with $11 and no English. Within months he had immersed himself and found work as a screenwriter. His first directorial effort was "The Major and the Minor",1942. He went on to direct a body of work that covered the dramatic spectrum into the 1980s. He is remembered for his sly comedies, and witty dialogs, both on and off the screen. We will view and discuss a selection of his work drawn from the early and late periods of his prolific career. NOTE: Two-hour class starts at 1:15 PM.
