TELOS - The Marco Polo Odyssey

The Marco Polo Odyssey is an overview of Harry Rutstein's three expeditions to follow the footsteps of Marco Polo from Venice to Beijing. Rutstein will review the world of this Medieval traveller and how much has remained as it was in the 13th Century. The 13,000 mile journey starts with a sea voyage from Venice to Israel and then by land across Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and finally through the Taklamakan and Gobi Deserts on the way to Beijing, China. It will be history wrapped in adventure presented by a master storyteller. Harry Rutstein, a successful businessman who established an import company with offices in Shanghai and Beijing, is founder and Executive Director of the Marco Polo Foundation, Inc. dedicated to promoting better understanding between East and West.
