Teenage Novelist: Revisioning the Novel

Marvin’s house is for sale and Ilandra has a surprise. “I redecorated!” she beams. Marvin goes in. His favorite chair: gone. The bathroom: fuchsia. Three walls: missing. “It was perfect before!” he wails. “For you, maybe,” says Ilandra, “but nobody was buying.” How do you move from writing your novel to writing for readers? Learn what to cut, what to add, and how to “re-vision.” Includes in-class writing and critique. Teenage Novelist: Plotting & Scheming and Publishing recommended, but not required, as companion classes. Related classes include Teenage Novelist: Developing Your Character, What’s the Big Idea, and Scenes and Dreams.
