Duel & Debate: The Varying Perspectives of Two Stock Market Traders

Investors are invited to participate in a special one-time event as two seasoned stock traders wrangle over the pros and cons of different investments, with no quarter given. Gatis Roze and Harvey Baraban will debate and dispute, battle and bicker real-time about their favorite equities and trading strategies. Participants will also be invited to submit their own candidates for point-counter point analysis.

Come join two of the best-known West Coast stock technicians as these insiders reveal their secrets to finding profitable trades.

Harvey Baraban is a Wall Street icon and 40-year veteran of the markets. After graduating from Duke University in engineering, he became the managing partner in the 1970s of West Coast operations for the famous Gerry Tsai who ran Fidelity’s Manhattan Fund. In 1978, he founded Baraban Securities that grew to 1500 brokers, and he trained over 30,000 individuals for certification as stockbrokers. From 1998 to 2002, he served as Adjunct Professor of Finance at Golden Gate University. Harvey lives in Sonoma, California where he actively trades his own account.

Gatis Roze has been a full-time trader for nearly 25 years after a successful entrepreneurial career in Silicon Valley. An MBA graduate of the Stanford Business School, he is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT). He also writes the popular weekly blog, The Traders Journal, which appears on StockCharts.com. Gatis lives on Mercer Island and trades from his office in Pioneer Square.
