Positive Parenting for Parents of Teens    NEW!

Being a “positive” parent may not be easy. How can parents help their teen academically and help them to be less likely to engage in negative behavior? Parents will learn: ways to manage emotions; how to improve family communication; how to hold a family meeting that yields agreements everyone can abide by; how personality differences affect the family dynamics, and why improving the parent-teen relationship helps a parent become more influential. Required text, "Positive Discipline for Teenagers" by Dr. Jane Nelson, can be purchased from Amazon.com. Class taught by Jennifer Watanabe, Parent Educator and Parent Coach.
