Wheel Throwing/Hand Building: Beginning   

Create something great in this introductory course covering both wheel throwing and hand building. By taking this class, you'll learn centering and tool use for shaping thrown items such as simple forms, cylinders, bowls and plates. You'll also learn how to create functional and decorative work using a variety of hand building techniques. Mid-fire clay and glazes are available. Projects develop from your skill level and personal ideas. See website for supply list and open lab schedule. Tuition includes studio fee, one bag of clay and shared materials.

Open Lab Schedule: The schedule varies by quarter due to studio availability. Please click Open Ceramic Lab to see open ceramic lab hours at Main Campus.

Required Form: All ceramic students are required to complete the “Activity Release, Limitation of Liability and Assumption of Risk” form before participating the class. Please click Activity and Release, Limitation of Liability and Assumption of Risk to download the form and bring the completed form to the instructor on the first day of the class.
