Portraiture: Beginning and Continuing  

Learn the anatomy of the skull and facial muscles, the correct way of reproducing facial expressions and the composition of the portrait. Working from models of different ages, genders, and ethnicities, you will do portraits in charcoal, graphite conte crayon or ink. Bring a 14" x 17" sketch book, vine charcoal or soft pencil and a kneaded eraser to the first class. Basic drawing skills recommended. Complete supply list is available here.
