Medical Coding: CPT Services and Procedures  

This course provides an intensive introduction to medical procedure and service (CPT) coding, including aspects of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical technology pertinent to accurate CPT code assignment. A second course is offered the following quarter that covers diagnostic (ICD-9) coding. Completing our two coding courses will prepare students to take a professional credentialing exam through the American Health Information Management Association (Certified Coding Associate credential) or through the American Academy of Professional Coders (Certified Professional Coder credential).
