Portraiture for Teens  

Explore how to make a successful portrait. Working from live models, you’ll do portraits in charcoal, graphite and conte crayon. You will study the styles and composition of portraits done by contemporary artists and old masters. Learn the anatomy of the skull and facial muscles and the correct way of getting a likeness and reproducing facial expressions. Bring 14" x 17" sketch book, vine charcoal, soft pencil, and a kneaded eraser to the first class. Basic drawing skills recommended. Tuition includes model fees.
