DSHS Nurse Delegation Specialty Training
Earn a certificate of completion in the Nurse Delegation Program and perform tasks such as administration of prescription medications or blood glucose testing, normally administered by licensed Registered Nurses (RNs). Completion of this course allows qualified Nursing Assistants and caregivers, under the supervision of an RN Delegator, to administer to their clients in less costly community or home-based settings. NA-R or NA-C caregivers who complete the Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistants course will become more hirable in community settings such as:
Adult foster care
Assisted living facilities
In-home care
Developmental disabled care facilities
