|Basic Statistics for Continuous Improvement (1.2 CEUs)
Many students wanting to improve their process improvement skills using the Six Sigma methodology can become intimidated by the math and statistics required by this data analysis tool. This course will provide high-level, hands-on training of how statistics are used in Six Sigma, including what statistics are, how they are generated and interpreted, how they are used in process control, how they are used to compare before and after process improvements, and how they are shown using graphs and charts. Very basic algebraic equations will be reviewed as needed to provide the context for the statistical introduction. Bring a basic electronic calculator to class. Required textbook: Mark J. Kiemele, Stephen R. Schmidt, and Ronald J. Berdine, Basic Statistics: Tools for Continuous Improvement, ISBN: 978-1880156063. Course taught by a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
