| FRESH EGGS IN THE MORNING: RAISING CHICKENS IN YOUR BACKYARD
NEW! Did you know you can raise hens in the City of Auburn? You'll learn about the new city ordinance and important considerations in caring for a small flock of hens in limited space: chicken physiology, behavior, health, and nutrition. Discussion will include integrating people, gardens, and hens into mutually beneficial systems; grazing your flock in the garden to boost their nutrition; and increasing the productivity of gardens by using your flock for pest/weed control, as well as composting techniques for chicken manure.
