FISHING THE ALPINE LAKES

The Pacific NW is blessed with an abundance of alpine lakes that have good populations of trout. Rainbow, Cutthroat, and Eastern Brook trout are found in hundreds of high mountain lakes in Washington alone. In the classroom session you will learn where, when, and how to fish these beautiful alpine lakes. We'll discuss tackle, & equipment for both fly fishing and ultra-light spin fishing including the essential lures and flies. Get resources to help you find lakes that are accessible by vehicle, mountain bike, horseback and hike in only. In session two (optional) we will hike into an Alpine lake that requires a modest hike and practice what we have learned in session one. CEUs: .8
