EKG TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION PROGRAM  

This comprehensive 50-hour certificate program prepares students to function as EKG Techs and take the ASPT (EKG) Tech exam. This course includes heart anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, disease processes, ethics, legal aspects of patient contact, laboratory assisting, and electro- and echocardiography. Students will practice with equipment and perform hands-on labs including the proper use of the EKG machine, normal anatomy of the chest wall for proper lead placement, 12-lead placement, and other clinical practices.
