Music Making Madness (Grades 3-5)

This course will have a focus on creating musical instruments using ordinary or inexpensive items. Each day students will learn at least one fundamental of music, learn about the instruments that we are making, the cultures they came from, as well as listening to examples of music that they are used in while making the instruments.
On the last day, students will put on a performance, likely set to a track that has instrumental breaks for some opportunities for them to improvise. They will learn how to be comfortable creating music in a group and learn how to work with each other in an ensemble.
