Learn fundamental material on C programming that establishes the groundwork for a more intensive training on Objective-C. Focus on Objective-C, the core programming language used to design and create iPhone/iPad applications, and receive extensive instruction on Application Development. Demonstrate your skills and design an application from start to finish, as your final project.
Prerequisite: Students are expected to be comfortable with computers and have an interest in programming and technology.
- Use Xcode to develop Objective-C programs
- Define primitive and reference variables
- Write and call a function and conditional and looping statements
- Build a basic user interface using the Cocoa framework
- Create objects and methods
- Develop Objective-C code to display and interact with user interfaces
- Use screen navigation with Tab Bar, Table Views, and Storyboards
- Build page-based applications
- Use Interface Builder to construct user interfaces
Upon registering, you are given an initial twelve months to complete this program. Should you need additional time beyond twelve months, an extension of six months is available for a fee of $500.
Note: This class must be taken on a Mac, not an emulator or remote connection. A PC cannot be used for this course. Students will also be required to download and install Xcode.
