TESOL - Methods and Materials for Teaching ESOL  

You may take online and classroom courses in any combination to earn the 120-hour certificate.

The TESOL Methods and Materials course focuses on effective methods for teaching Grammar, Pronunciation, Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Presents techniques and strategies including how to locate, evaluate, and adapt materials for specific ESL/EFL classroom environments. Become familiar with lesson planning and assessment tools for all the skill areas. Also observe and summarize ESL/EFL classroom teaching in your local area.

Textbook: "The ESL/ELL Teacher's Survival Guide," available in print at the KSU Center Bookstore (ISBN: 1118095676) and as a Kindle Book (ASIN-B008SGNHIU).

This course earns 3 PLUs. Prerequisite: An Internet connection and an email account are required resources for this course. Skill requirements include Internet research and using assigned software for both classroom and online classses.
