TESOL - Issues of Culture and Language  

You may take online and classroom courses in any combination to earn the 120-hour certificate.

In TESOL Culture we cover the role of context (social, cultural, and linguistic) in intercultural relations and examine the complex relationship between culture and communication. To help deepen your knowledge and perspective, we will examine major theories related to educating culturally diverse students.

This course earns 3 PLUs. Prerequisite: You must establish and maintain an account on the distance learning website and have access to the internet and email to participate in this class. This course meets in the classroom on Saturdays for five or six weeks with a one hour break for lunch.
