An introduction to substantive and constitutional law that includes citizens' rights, functions of courts, admissible evidence and investigative techniques. Emphasis is placed on the practical uses in assisting defense attorneys.
- Identify constitutional law issues re: search and seizure, arrest, confessions, etc
- Learn procedures for identifying whether crime or tort or both have been committed.
- Learn procedural issues re: arrest warrants, probable cause hearings, grand juries, trial issues, etc.
