In this intensive nine-month program there are four modules:

Module 1 Discovery

This module will expose the students to design principles, usability, the Web development process, and file basics. This module lays the foundation for the entire course.

Module 2 Design

The successful student is expected in this module to begin to apply the design principles learned in Module 1 to Web page layout. This is accomplished through a demonstrated ability to code in HTML and CSS.

Module 3 Development

Though HTML and CSS provide the foundation for much of the Web, modern websites interactively engage visitors. In this module, the successful student uses JavaScript and Flash to provide such interactivity.

Module 4 Deployment

Design can capture visitors' attention, but the Web currently hosts millions of sites. Thus, successful Web designers must also be adept with industry tools and practices such as search engine optimization and Web analytics to drive traffic to their sites.

Prerequisite: Complete Skills Assessment and submit Program Application. Working knowledge of computers, especially Windows, and access to computer and Internet are required. Must have access to Adobe® Creative Suite® 6 Design & Web Premium for homework.
