In this course, you will work with the instructor step-by-step to build an Android app and learn best practices of Android app development. By giving you a solid foundation, you can imagine, design, create and deploy your own apps onto the Google Play Store.
Covered in this class will be the major Android topics: Views, Activities, Intents, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers. It will also cover Location-based services, Sensors and App Deployment.
Let us help you build great apps the right way. Textbook is required at the first class meeting and is available at the KSU Center bookstore. Internet access is also required.
Prerequisite: High school diploma or equivalent. Complete the Basic Skills Assessment and submit Program Application. Working knowledge of computers and access to computer and Internet are required.
Basic understanding of programming concepts is helpful.
