The Kennesaw Internet Professional (KIP) Certificate is a nine-month, hands-on program that will help you to develop the broad-based knowledge, portfolio and experience you need to successfully compete in today's market place.

KIP curriculum is uniquely hands-on and project oriented. By completing a series of projects using the technology you learn in class, you will graduate with a professional portfolio and marketing package ready to show prospective employers or clients. From marketing and promotion to creating a proposal and contract to interacting with clients, KIP will prepare you.
- Artistic Skill
By mastering the principles and practices of professional graphic artists, including color theory, layout, typography and how they apply to the Internet, you will develop true design proficiency.
- Technical Proficiency
You will develop the skills and considerations needed to create and maintain a truly effective site. From HTML, CSS and JavaScript basics to sound editing, you will take your design from concept to completion with a functioning, accessible web presence. Software applications include Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator and Sound Forge/Audacity.

Learning Objectives:
- Publish a web site using HTML
- Apply JavaScript code to web sites
- Create proposals that reflect E-Business Basics
- Produce a Photoshop collage
- Develop motion graphics with Flash
- Create web sites using Dreamweaver
- Create a marketing package that includes a portfolio site, resume, logo, & business card
- Apply proper layout & interactive website design
This course is approved for VA Funding.
Note: For your success and the success of your class, you must take a brief test in MS Windows. Dates announced at MANDATORY but free Orientation. Textbooks are available at the KSU Center bookstore.
This course requires a minimum of 12 hours homework per week. After the last class meeting, students have 3 weeks to prepare for the pass/fail portfolio review.
Refund Policy - Because of the impact you can make affecting the minimum enrollment requirement for this course to be held, a refund request must be made by phone or in writing at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the class.
Attendance - KIP is an intensive program and maximum attendance is necessary to keep up. Therefore 80% attendance is required.
