Web Design and Usability Techniques

This course is designed for individuals familiar with HTML and CCS (Cascading Style Sheets) who want to learn the basic principles of good all-purpose Web Design. The emphasis is on avoiding pitfalls and learning the fundamental design guidelines that maximize the usability of any Web site project. Although specific programming techniques for database-driven sites are beyond the scope of this course, all designers and developers can benefit since the focus is on what the user sees, rather than how the content is generated.

To maximize successful completion of this course, we recommend HTML Levels 1 and 2 and knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets, a topic in the FrontPage Level 2 course.
