Project Performance Measurement 15 PDUs  

This is an elective course in the Project Management Certificate Program. Successful completion fulfills 15 Professional Development Units towards certificate completion or ongoing professional development.

This course builds on the basic information provided in the introductory Project Management Course, and delves more deeply into measuring performance through the use of metrics. Specifically, this course will cover measurement metrics relative to things (such as project plans, project quality, contracts, project success factors, etc.), people (such as performance, teamwork, communications management, etc.), and enterprise (such as project management maturity/organizational performance metrics, etc.). This comprehensive course covers a variety of project management metrics and will provide you with instruments to help you implement performance management within your project.

Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
  • Assess the motivation, performance and behavior of team members.
  • Gauge the likelihood of your project’s success.
  • Assess organizational capabilities and collective project management performance.
  • Select appropriate metrics for your project.
  • Link the efforts of individual team members to the overall success of the project.
  • Create plans that are realistic and achievable.


Audience: Employees whose work involves projects and other team leaders. Successful completion of the IT Project Management Overview or Project Management Essentials course is strongly recommended prior taking this course.
