How to Be Better Prepared for the US Citizenship Process

Designed for permanent residents, you will learn how to complete the naturalization application, and to prepare for the examination and interview process.

You will study U.S. history and government and practice for the Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) interview.

This class is open to anyone who has been a legal, permanent resident for a minimum of five years (three years if married to a US citizen) and can read, write and speak English at an intermediate or higher level (SPSCC ESL 3/4 or higher).

Please be advised that this class does not include the naturalization examination given by the CIS. You must apply with the Citizenship and Immigration Services individually and take your examination in Tukwila.

Non- permanent residents are welcome to register if they wish to preview the materials for a friend or family member.

This class gives the same information as How to Apply and Prepare for Citizenship on Your Own but in addition, it includes a lot of practice in different ways for the complete interview.
