IT Project Quality Assurance   

Do you want to identify potential problems before they become project-destroyers? Are you concerned about maintaining the quality of your IT projects? This half-day course presents an overview of IT project quality, its costs and benefits, and how to attain it. You will practice using tools to manage quality, including how to identify and analyze project processes and solve project problems. The interactive course will emphasize lessons learned from real-life, contemporary projects. You will become familiar with practical approaches to Information Technology Project Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Continuous Quality Improvement.

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
  • Discuss the key elements of project quality planning, quality assurance, quality control, and continuous quality improvement
  • Describe the tools used to manage project quality, including data collection, process analysis, and problem solving
  • Explain how to put quality into practice and increase the chances of project success
  • Utilize standard project quality assurance reporting techniques commonly used in Washington State government and private sector organizations
Audience: Individuals who are involved in systems project management. Recommended Prerequisites: familiarity with IT projects
