Log Home Building  

This introduction to log house building class will cover how to construct your own log building from foundation to finish. Building method is the Butt and Pass Method with requires only two people and uses ropes and pulley-blocks; no machinery needed.  Jack and Sharon Tipping have built eight log buildings in the past 30 years; building nine is currently under construction. This wonderful class is taught in the instructors' log home located in Onalaska, Washington. Class instruction PowerPoint presentations and live demonstrations includes: review of tree selection, tools, log lifting, log peeling and chinking. Participants will be able to utilize the on-site working model to gain hands-on experience.  Catered lunch provided.
