Windows 7 Configuration  

This 3-day course covers the essential tasks involved in setting up and supporting the Windows 7 operating system. Included is plenty of hands-on practice with the skills needed for the day-to-day administration and troubleshooting of Windows 7. This course will help you to prepare for Microsoft Exam 70-680: TS: Windows 7, Configuring.

Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to:
  • Install the Windows 7 OS
  • Upgrade and migrate from previous versions
  • Set up and configure network connectivity
  • Maintain the OS components, hardware devices and drivers
  • Configure typical applications
  • Adjust system settings
  • Implement backup and recovery
  • Configure User Account Control (UAC)
  • Administer mobile PC settings
  • Work with new features such as DirectAccess and BranchCache
  • Manage system updates
  • Configure security and privacy features
  • Troubleshoot system issues and optimize performance
Audience: IT professionals who have taken the Networking Essentials course, and who have at least one year of experience in the IT field, as well as experience implementing and administering any Windows client operating system in a networked environment.
