Apple’s iOS platform drives the iPhone and iPad, the most popular phones and portable computing devices ever made with over 100 million users worldwide. This two day class will prepare you to make web based applications targeted to this revolutionary platform. Requiring no special software or hardware, a web based application allows maximum flexibility when designing an iOS based solution. In this class, ASP.Net is the solution technology, allowing you to leverage your existing knowledge in .Net. You will practice taking existing web applications and making them work seamlessly with iPhones and iPads.

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

Explain iOS and its targeted devices
Write web pages which target the iOS Human Interface Guidelines
Write standards based web pages
Use .Net technologies to write iOS apps for the iPhone and iPad
Understand the difference between web-based and app store-based iOS apps
Port an existing web application to the iOS standard
Configure a web site to automatically use the iOS interface to those devices
Use HTML5 to embed video and audio for multimedia
