Illustrator CS4/CS5  

This course is appropriate for users of any version of Illustrator. If your work involves creating complex and attractive illustrations and type effects, Adobe Illustrator is the answer. This course will help you learn to manipulate simple shapes to design logos, as well as combine text and graphics to create print or web advertisements. You will practice with tools and features that will help you to create custom graphics that meet the specific requirements of your organization. Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to:
  • Explore and customize the interface
  • Draw basic shapes with the Shape tools
  • Draw and modify custom paths
  • Add and format text with styles
  • Import graphics
  • Manipulate objects
  • Apply gradients
  • Save images for web and print
  • Add text and flow around a logo
  • Apply graphic styles
  • Thread text frames
  • Find and replace text
  • Export a graphic for the web
  • Export images for print
  • Organize assets using Adobe Bridge
Recommended prerequisites: Experience with the Windows operating system. Exposure to other Adobe products such as InDesign and Photoshop will enhance successful completion of this course.
