Business Analysis Fundamentals: Framework & Competencies   NEW!

Understand the business analyst's role and responsibilities in a successful project.

In this introductory course, you'll delve into the roles and responsibilities of the business analyst (BA) - the communication link between all business areas and a critical player in project success. Learn techniques for ensuring project success every step of the way - from identifying and analyzing potential projects to making sure that the final project product meets the requirements you identified. This class also includes practice exam questions that will help you prepare for taking the CCBA certification exam.

Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
  • Understand what Business Analysis is and what a Business Analyst does
  • Understand the relationship between the Business Analyst and the Program Manager
  • Understand the role of Business Analyst on a project
  • Define what a requirement is and types
  • Recognize BA terminology
  • Have an overview of motivational theories and how these relate to group work
  • Have a base knowledge and understanding of BA underlying competencies including:

    • Behavioral Characteristics
    • Business Knowledge
    • Communication Skills
    • Interaction Skills
    • Software Applications
    • Understand the requirements for sitting for the CCBA (IIBA) exam
