In this 5-day course you will learn the foundations of network security: risk management, business continuity planning, fighting malicious software (malware), cryptography basics, computer room physical security and establishing a solid security policy to demonstrate due care and due diligence. You will also gain the skills to design networks for compliance with your organization’s standards as well as other government standards and requirements. This course maps to the CompTIA Security+ certification exam.

Audience: technically adept individuals who have taken the Network+ and Windows 2000 Server courses or who possess equivalent knowledge. A strong understanding of the material in Network+ (particularly TCP/IP) as well as one year of network administration experience will greatly enhance successful completion and understanding of this course.
