Friday Art Specials: Sponging A to Z*  

Explore various facets of watercolor painting in these one-day workshops that combine demonstration and hands-on painting. All classes held at Spokane Valley Senior Center, CenterPlace, Rm 155, 279-6030. Use sponges (both natural and synthetic) rather than brushes to create a wide range of looks, such as sky or backgrounds of soft and mingled tones, foliage in landscapes, foreground textures and interest, and tone-on-tone variety.
