ADV BACKFLOW ASSEMBLY TEST/TROUBLESHOOT/REPAIR
This two-day workshop will train you to find and fix problems with backflow prevention assemblies. We will review components of backflow prevention assemblies, how they work, and how to tell whether they are operating correctly, in addition to practicing test procedures to help verify symptoms of trouble. You will learn how to isolate, take apart, clean, repair, and reassemble PVBAs, DCVs, and RPBAs. Find out when and how to get spare parts and learn secrets that will help locate and eliminate causes of trouble and restore water service to customers quickly. Finally, we will review requirements and prepare current Washington State Backflow Assembly Testers for "WA State Department of Labor and Industries Specialty Backflow Assembly Repair Plumber License". This license will allow non plumber BATs to legally disassemble and repair backflow prevention assemblies in customer's plumbing systems. 1.4 CEU.
Meets WA Department of Health Relevancy Criteria for Waterworks Operator Professional Growth. Meets WA Department of Ecology Criteria for Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators and will earn Wastewater CEU. Meets WA Department of Labor & Industries Plumber Continuing Education Requirement.
