Spanish IV/V - Advanced

This course is designed for students who finished Spanish I, II, and III and want to improve their grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and conversational skills. Students need to know the use of the present, future, preterite, and imperfect tenses as well as the perfect tense, and also understand the use of gustar and other special verbs. Students are expected to be able to express themselves in Spanish using the different tenses and understand easy conversations, readings, and stories. Students are further expected to write and read in Spanish and to speak more extemporaneously. Spanish is spoken most of the time in order to prepare for the more advanced classes where ONLY Spanish is spoken. Instructor approval is required for new students.
