Java: Level 1
This course employs a combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on exercises to teach the fundamentals of the Java programming platform. It includes coverage of several new features. Topics include: Object-oriented programming principles, language constructs, class hierarchy, interfaces, packages, exceptions, I/O, User Interfaces in AWT and Swing, and event handling.
Prerequisite: Strong working knowledge of at least one other programming language.
Bring a USB flash drive (minimum 2 GB) to class.
