SQL for Software Test Engineers: Level 1
This course will help testers learn the basics of Structured Query Language (SQL) for use in testing relational databases. Language syntax will be covered including creating basic and advanced statements and their uses in a test environment. The class uses SQL Server, but the emphasis will be on generic database testing concepts. No previous knowledge of SQL is expected.
Prerequisite: Database Testing Concepts or equivalent knowledge of database design.
Textbook required: SQL Queries for Mere Mortals by Hernandez, Viescas; 0-321-4444-34, 2nd edition (available in the North Campus bookstore).
