Human Resources Fundamentals  

Human Resource (HR) Fundamentals provides a high level overview of the profession’s fundamental objectives and competencies. This course is designed for individuals who are new to the HR field, those who are interested in learning more about the profession, and managers looking to improve their understanding of Human Resources. Students will learn key concepts and processes associated with business management and strategy, workforce planning and employment, compensation and benefits, talent and performance management, and employee and labor relations. The course will also introduce laws that affect managing human resources and risk management. This class is the recommended starting point for all of the HR Management Certificate Program participants and is the foundation course for the program.
