Beating the New SAT for Teens - Math Only
Diane Sternoff, math specialist, WA. Certified Teacher with 30+ years of teaching experience and SAT success, will prepare you for the math portion of the test by reducing your anxiety, increasing your confidence in your abilities and arming you with practical and proven strategies. You will be instructed on the use of the TI 83 & TI 84 Plus graphing calculators and provided with specially designed useful programs. Methods that speed up calculations, tackle arithmetic and algebraic questions and attack geometry problems will be highlighted. You will have the opportunity to experience SAT math tests and evaluate your progress. Textbook required: the Official SAT Study Guide for the New SAT by the College Board (available at BC North Campus bookstore). Must sign up for each SAT section individually, may use the SAT Study Guide for both classes.
Class dates and registration will be available online no later than May 11.
