These days, more than ever, we need to find tools that help us stay calm, centered, and positive. The Alexander Technique, a mind-body method that helps us stay present in our activities, our world and within ourselves, offers relief. In this class, you'll learn about your postural habits and how to change them to release tension, increase coordination, balance, and ease of movement. We'll learn the importance of the head-neck relation to the rest of the body, how to pause and not react in a habitual way, develop awareness of our self and our surroundings, and learn to respond to what our body is telling us. Part lecture and part practical and experiential activities, the goal of this course is to help you feel lighter, and more resilient.
