Professional Hair Braiding with Melony Armstrong

In this one day course you will learn the proper techniques of hair braiding from the owner of Mississippi's first and only braiding school. Melony Armstrong, owner of Armstrong Braiding Academy will teach you braiding techniques that will promote hair growth all while creating beautiful braided hairstyles.

Braiding techniques that will be covered include:

  • Micro Braids: tiny braids that cover the head that give you full, attractive, easy to maintain braids that are versatile with countless styling options that cover the head.
  • Box Braids: individual plaits that are divided by small squared off or rounded sections, using synthetic hair for fullness, added length, and longevity.
  • Feed in Cornrows: an ancient traditional African style of hair grooming, which is very healthy for the hair and won't promote hair loss around the hairline.
  • Senegalese Twist: rope like twist that are created by wrapping your choice of braided hair around the root of the natural hair.
